Four complete caterpillar tunnel kits including 4/5 season cover, galvanised metal hoops, hoop stakes and anchors, end stakes, plastic tensioning parts and cord.
Hoops spacing depends very much on the weather on your particular site. For calmer sites this can be as much as 2 metres or for windier sites this needs to be reduced to 1.2 metres.
We offer three standard spacing sizes – 1.2 metre, 1.5 metre and 2 metre. This is equivalent to 8, 10 and 12 hoops. Each hoop is 1.2 metres wide and 1 metre high.
The plastic provided in this kit is 6 metres wide by 33 metres and is enough to cover FOUR tunnels 14 metres long. You will need to cut the plastic in half both lengthways and widthways.
Kit consists of:
32 / 40 / 48 Hoop sets – each set contains 1 x hoop, 2 x 10mm steel re-bar stakes, 2 x anchor plates with a carabiner and 1 x 4mm polypropylene cord 6.5m length
1 x 4/5 season UV treated 4mil polytunnel plastic cover 6m width 33m length
8 x Plastic Anchoring Sets – each set contains 1 x 1.15m steel end stake, 1 x UV resistant ratchet strap with S hooks, 1 x fibreglass rod 20cm long and 1 x U-bolt with plate 10cm wide by 10cm deep
